What does it take to lead in tech, not just in innovation, but in inclusion?

Cisometric is proud to share a double milestone from one of our own cyber experts: Ika Apriyanti Muiz, our Head of IT GRC Consultant, has officially been appointed as the new SheLeadsTech Director at ISACA Indonesia Chapter and she’s also made history as the first person in Indonesia to earn the Advanced in AI Audit (AAIA) certification from ISACA.

This is a proud moment not just for Ika, but for all of us at Cisometric. Her achievement reaffirms our commitment to building a safer, more inclusive digital future, especially as we begin to tackle one of the next big frontiers in cybersecurity governance: AI auditing and oversight.

We believe trust in technology must be rooted in both technical excellence and ethical leadership, and Ika is a shining example of both.

This milestone isn’t just a personal achievement. It’s a step forward for gender equity, responsible AI audit, and digital trust in Indonesia’s evolving tech ecosystem.

What is ISACA?

You’ve probably heard of ISACA if you're in IT audit, cybersecurity, or governance. But for those unfamiliar: ISACA is a global professional association with over 185,000 members across 188 countries. It’s the home base for professionals working in digital trust, encompassing everything from information security and assurance to risk management and compliance.

With over 50 years of history, ISACA is known for shaping how organizations and professionals build secure, ethical digital systems. They offer world-class training, research, and frameworks that help companies and individuals keep up with today's evolving cyber threats. ISACA also provides globally recognized certifications (like CISA, CRISC, CDPSE, and AAIA).

And within that, SheLeadsTech of ISACA Indonesia Chapter stands out as a beacon for gender equality.

What is SheLeadsTech?

SheLeadsTech is ISACA’s global initiative to advance gender diversity in tech leadership, especially in fields like cybersecurity, IT governance, and risk. It is their flagship program to empower women in the fields of information systems and technology

With chapters in over 100 countries, SheLeadsTech focuses on three core pillars:

  • Engage: Raise awareness and representation of women in tech
  • Empower: Build support networks through partnerships and community
  • Elevate: Equip women with training and tools to lead

More than just a diversity program, SheLeadsTech is a global movement to break barriers and ensure innovation isn’t limited by inequality. It opens doors to mentorship, training, and visibility. Now, with Ika stepping in as the newly appointed director for ISACA Indonesia Chapter, those pathways just got even stronger.

Get to Know Ika Apriyanti Muiz

Ika is more than a cybersecurity professional, she’s a force in the governance and compliance space. With over eight years of experience in IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), Ika has helped organizations in the financial technology and digital payments sectors navigate everything from data protection to regulatory alignment.

As Head of IT GRC Consultant at Cisometric, she leads the implementation of international security standards such as PCI DSS and ISO/IEC 27001, ensuring our clients remain resilient and audit-ready.

Ika holds globally recognized certifications including:

  • CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
  • Lead Auditor ISO/IEC 27001:2022
  • And now, AAIA (Advanced in AI Audit), where she is the first person in Indonesia to be certified

Throughout her work at Cisometric, Ika has led and participated in numerous external audits for clients, particularly in industries where cybersecurity compliance is heavily regulated. These hands-on experiences paved the way for her specialization in AI risk assurance, a field that will only grow more critical in the coming years.

While Cisometric is officially registered by BSSN (Badan Siber dan Sandi Negara) as a Consulting Institution, Ika is one of the key experts entrusted to carry out implementation projects under that umbrella, further reinforcing her role in shaping trusted cybersecurity ecosystems.

Beyond her consulting work, Ika also serves as a mentor at Cisometric Academy, teaching the IS Audit class, where she helps shape future cybersecurity professionals and encourages more young women to pursue leadership roles in tech.

What Does This Mean for the Industry and for Indonesia?

This appointment and her achievements is a signal of something much bigger. It reflects that Indonesia is ready to take the lead in shaping an inclusive, ethical, and secure digital future.

1. Inclusivity in the industry

Despite growing awareness, gender disparity in tech remains a global issue.

According to ISACA’s Tech Workplace & Culture 2025 report:

  • 27% of women say gender or diversity biases are a challenge when entering the IT sector, compared to just 4% of men
  • 36% of women report having experienced gender discrimination in the workplace, four times the rate of men (9%)
  • 43% of women believe that the lack of female role models is a top reason for underrepresentation in the tech industry

These numbers reflect a lack of access, visibility, and equitable support. That’s where programs like SheLeadsTech come in.

As SheLeadsTech Director at ISACA Indonesia Chapter, Ika Apriyanti Muiz is uniquely positioned to help close these gaps. Through leadership, mentorship, and community-building, she’s working to ensure that more women not only enter the cybersecurity field, but thrive in it.

Representation at the leadership level (especially from women) has never been more crucial, and Ika is here to help shape what that looks like for Indonesia’s tech future.

2. Trust in technology is at a crossroads

On one hand, we’re seeing incredible progress like AI systems that detect threats, personalize services, and automate defenses.

But on the other, we’re facing increasingly complex risks:

  • opaque algorithms,
  • unregulated data use,
  • and widening security blind spots

A 2024 report highlighted how AI misuse in Southeast Asia is already impacting finance and public health sectors, calling for greater regulation and accountability (Channel News Asia, 2024). Meanwhile, a study also found that 83% of executives believe AI governance will become a top compliance issue within three years (PwC, 2025).

That’s why certifications like AAIA matter. And as the first Indonesian to hold the AAIA credential, she’s also stepping into a critical frontier: AI audit. At a time when cyberattacks are growing in scale and AI is transforming how we work, communicate, and defend, we don't just need more experts, we need leaders who understand both the technical and human sides of risk.

With Ika's leadership, we’re confident Indonesia is catching up and helping lead the way. And at Cisometric, we’re honored to be part of that journey.

Final Thoughts

At Cisometric, we’ve always believed that security is not just about tools, it’s about people. And that includes everyone who protects: the ones who lead, who build, who mentor, who monitor, who advocate, and who inspire.

We are proud to stand behind Ika as she steps into this important role and we’re even prouder to have her as part of our team. Let this be a reminder that building a safer digital future means investing in leaders who care, challenge the status quo, and raise others up along the way.

Congratulations, Ika!

We can’t wait to see the waves you’ll create for our future’s digital safety, in Indonesia and beyond.
